These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of our website https://renovonest.com/ and your engagement of our renovation and related services. "Renovo Nest", "we", "us" refers to Renovo Nest, operating from Mogappair East, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. "You" or "your" refers to the person using our Website or Services. By using the Website or engaging us for any work, you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
About Us and Our Services
Renovo Nest is a Chennai-based home renovation company. We provide end-to-end home improvement Services, which may include complete home renovation, home extensions, structural and repair work, electrical and plumbing, waterproofing, interior design and finishing, kitchen and bathroom renovation, carpentry, and work on doors, windows, and exteriors.
The exact scope of any project is the scope set out in the written quotation, proposal, or work agreement signed for that project. Marketing material on the Website is for general information only and does not form part of any contract unless expressly confirmed in writing.
Quotations, Estimates, and Pricing
Any price shared through the Website, WhatsApp, phone, or email before a site visit is an indicative estimate only. A binding, fixed-price quotation is provided only after a free site visit and assessment, and is set out in writing.
Once issued, a written quotation is valid for the period stated on it. Pricing may change if:
- The scope changes
- Conditions not visible at the time of quoting are discovered during work (for example hidden structural damage, concealed leaks, or wiring faults)
- You request different materials or finishes
Any such change will be handled through the variation process in Clause 7. Unless stated otherwise, quoted amounts are exclusive of applicable taxes, including Goods and Services Tax (GST), which will be charged at the prevailing rates.
Free Site Visit, Access, and Your Responsibilities
We offer a free consultation and site visit to understand your requirements and prepare an estimate. To allow us to assess, quote, and carry out work safely and on schedule, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the property, its condition, and your requirements
- Provide safe, lawful, and timely access to the property and the work area during agreed times
- Disclose any known hazards or conditions that may affect the work, such as electrical faults, plumbing issues, dampness, structural cracks, or prior repairs
- Remove or protect valuables, fragile items, and personal belongings near the work area, and secure pets
- Obtain any necessary permissions from third parties, such as your housing society, association, landlord, or building management, unless we have agreed in writing to assist with these
Delays or additional costs caused by lack of access, inaccurate information, or undisclosed conditions are not our responsibility and may affect the timeline and price.
Approvals and Permissions
For extensions, structural changes, and certain other works, statutory or local approvals may be required (for example, society approvals or CMDA-related paperwork). Where agreed in your quotation, we will assist you with the relevant process.
The responsibility for obtaining and holding valid approvals rests with the property owner, and we are not liable for delays, rejections, or penalties arising from approval authorities or third parties.
Project Timelines and On-Time Delivery
We commit project timelines in writing for each signed project. Where your agreement includes a penalty-backed on-time delivery guarantee, the specific terms, conditions, and compensation method for that guarantee are those set out in your signed agreement, not on this Website.
Timelines assume:
- Uninterrupted site access
- Timely decisions and approvals from you
- Timely payments per the agreed schedule
Time lost due to delays on your side, changes in scope, undisclosed conditions, or events outside our reasonable control (see Clause 13) will extend the timeline accordingly and is excluded from any delivery guarantee.
Materials and Workmanship
We use brand-certified and quality-assured materials as specified in your quotation. Where you select specific finishes or fittings, those choices are recorded as part of the scope.
Natural variation in materials such as wood, stone, and tiles (in grain, shade, or texture) is normal and is not a defect.
If a specified material becomes unavailable, we may propose an equivalent alternative of similar quality, communicated to you before use.
Variations and Change Orders
Any change to the agreed scope, materials, specifications, or schedule — whether requested by you or required by site conditions — will be documented as a written variation or change order. A variation may affect the price and the completion date.
Work on a variation generally proceeds only after it is agreed in writing.
Payments and Deposits
Payment terms, including any booking advance, milestone or stage payments, and the final balance, are set out in your quotation or work agreement and form part of the contract for that project. Work may be scheduled to begin only after the agreed advance is received.
- Overdue payments may result in work being paused until payment is received
- Late payment charges may apply where stated in your agreement and permitted by law
- Deposits or payments made for custom or special-order materials may be non-refundable once those materials have been ordered
Cancellation and Refunds
If you wish to cancel a project after signing, please notify us in writing. Refund eligibility depends on the stage of the project:
- Amounts corresponding to work already carried out are not refundable
- Materials already procured (including non-refundable special orders) are not refundable
- Design or management effort already provided is not refundable
The specific cancellation and refund terms for your project are those stated in your signed agreement, read together with applicable Indian consumer law.
Warranties
Where your signed agreement provides warranties, the warranty terms, durations, coverage, and exclusions are those set out in that agreement. By way of general indication, our typical warranty structure:
- Covers structural and waterproofing work for a longer period
- Covers movable fittings and finishes for a shorter period
- Includes post-handover service support for an initial period after handover
Warranties exclude normal wear and tear, damage from misuse or neglect, alterations or repairs carried out by others, and issues caused by conditions outside our work. Manufacturer warranties on products and appliances are subject to the respective manufacturer's terms.
No Guarantee of Outcomes Beyond the Agreement
We carry out Services professionally and to the standards set out in your agreement. We do not guarantee outcomes, results, or timelines beyond what is expressly stated in writing.
Estimated durations and indicative figures shown on the Website or in early discussions are not guarantees.
Damage and Claims
We take care to work safely and to protect your property. Pre-existing conditions, natural ageing, and normal wear are not damage caused by us, and we are not responsible for issues arising from hidden or undisclosed conditions.
If you believe our work has caused damage, please notify us in writing promptly after you become aware of it, with photographs and a description, and allow us reasonable access to inspect before any third-party repairs are carried out (except in an emergency). We will review the matter and work toward a fair resolution.
Events Outside Our Control (Force Majeure)
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Weather or natural events
- Supply shortages or transport disruptions
- Labour disruptions or utility interruptions
- Regulatory action or delays by approval authorities
- Other similar events outside our reasonable control
In such cases, timelines will be extended by a reasonable period.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Renovo Nest will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, or opportunity, arising out of the Website or the Services.
Where we are found liable, our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount actually paid to us for the specific Services giving rise to that claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including under Indian consumer protection law.
